Strengths
- A genuine piece of studio-effects history, among the first dedicated rack flanger units ever made commercially available
- Its analog BBD-based flanging has a distinctively rich, three-dimensional character prized over many later digital equivalents
- Real documented use on notable classic recordings gives it genuine historical studio pedigree
Trade-offs
- Extremely rare and expensive to acquire in working condition given its age and historical significance
- Analog BBD circuitry requires real specialist knowledge to service as components age
